Casual Final Fantasy Cosplay: Cindy Male Version (Final Fantasy XV)

Casual Final Fantasy Cosplay: Cindy Male Version (Final Fantasy XV)

Written by Lauren — 03 Oct 2015

Another week, another Final Fantasy Casial Cosplay and this week I have a bit of a spin compared to the other posts I've been doing. I've always liked seeing gender swapped versions of characters and when the opportunity to do a gender swapped casual cosplay presented itself, I just had to do it so this week I give you a male version of Cindy (Cidney) from the upcoming Final Fantasy XV.

Cindy (Cidney)

So here it is. Although bear in mind, this doesn't have to be a strictly male casual cosplay. The following items could easily be used for a more covered casual cosplay version of Cindy. I for one, would never feel comfortable wearing just a bikini top as a shirt. That's not a slight against any one who is, it's just not my cup of tea. So enough gabbing, let's get on to the good stuff!

Stretch T-shirt: $9.99
Alright so first thing's first. I think this burgundy v-neck shirt is a great alternative to the bikini top. Also not to mention it's a great color t-shirt to have in your collection anyways especially with the autumn now in full swing.
UK Alternative: Stretch T-shirt - Burgundy: £7.99

Hooded Jacket - Mustard Yellow: $24.99
Although I do love Cindy's jacket, finding one that suites her style that's within our price range is rather difficult. I do love this hooded jacket though. It's affordable, comfortable, and yellow!
UK Alternative: Hooded Jacket - Mustard Yellow: £14.99

Adult Adjustable UV Protection Anti Fog Swimming Goggle : $1.89
This is probably the only thing that might appear out of place while traveling around among non-con folk, but as it's so cheap and small, it's really just a necessary evil. You might even have a pair of goggles lying around or a family member/friend might even have a pair you could borrow. Preferably get a pair that's black to match Cindy's, but any should work.
UK Alternative: Jazooli Adjustable Adults Sports Swimming Goggles: £2.49

Skinny Low Jeans - Denim Blue: $19.99
Unless you feel absolutely comfortable wearing daisy dukes, here is a long jean alternative which are similar in color to Cindy's shorts. You can never have too many pairs of jeans and I really love H&M's selection. I've not had a bad pair of trousers from them and they're also quite affordable which is a great plus.
UK Alternative: Skinny Low Jeans - Denim Blue: £19.99

Maikun Men's Tactical Belt - Brown: $0.99
Unless you want to get yourself a massive tool belt like Cindy's, I'd suggest getting a brown belt for this ensemble. They're cheap and you can reuse them for more things than just getting your hands dirty/cosplay.
UK Alternative: Charles Wilson Leather Belt: £1.00

Men's Plain Baseball Cap - Burgundy: $2.50
I do love baseball caps. If they went with my outfits, I'd probably wear them all the time like lots of guys do, but sadly, I'll have to reserve them for cosplays like this one and, of course, baseball games! Unfortunately they don't have one with Cindy's Hammerhead branding for sale yet, so I've gone with a simple burgundy cap, but adding a patch later down the line to seal the deal, wouldn't be that bad an idea.
UK Alternative: Original the black Snapback baseball cap: £10.98

Mens Canvas Deck Shoes: $9.46
Benig that you'll be wearing some long jeans, you can probably 86 the white boots as they'll more than likely be covered up. Some cheap white comfortable canvas shoes should suffice. I chose loafers because she doesn't have any laces on her boots so I thought loafers would best suit this.
UK Alternative: Mens Slip on Canvas Summer Shoes: £5.99

UK TOTAL: £63.43

So that's it! A very affordable male version of Cindy's outfit from Final Fantasy XV. Let me know if you'd like to see more of these kinds of Casual Cosplays. It was loads of fun to put together and I definitely want to do more gender-swapped cosplays in the future. Perhaps I should try a female one for next weeks? Guess we'll have to wait and see!
