Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster Not Likely To Release In 2013

Written by Spencer — 01 Sep 2013

Square Enix has been at Pax Prime all weekend showing off Lightning Returns, Final Fantasy XIV, and Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster along with many other titles. After playing the demo for Final Fantasy X HD, many fans have talked to representatives from Square Enix about the game's still mysterious release date besides 2013. Sadly all of the representatives have been telling everyone all weekend that the game is most likely not going to releasing outside of Japan by the end of 2013.

Many fans have been wondering why Square has been so hush hush about when they plan on releasing the game, but this potential delay seems to be the reason why. You have to think that they would want to get this released sometime before Lightning Returns releases in February 2014.

On a bit of positive news, the Vita version of each game (sold separately don't forget that) will be getting released with physical copies of the game as an option to buy the game. Some were worried that this version would only be digital, but this way you can have a complete collection on your real world shelves.

This is far from an official confirmation that the game was delayed till next year, but with so many official Square representatives saying the same thing you have to think something must be going on. How would you feel about Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD getting delayed until 2014? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
