Final Fantasy Committee Created To Ensure Quality Of Future Titles

Although Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn has steadily grown in popularity and Final Fantasy XV's recent revamp has had many fans talking, Square Enix has decided that it's in their best interest to form a Final Fantasy Committee for quality assurance purposes for future titles.

This committee is not made up of fans, but directors of current and past titles. Of the known directors, there's Naoki Yoshida (FFXIV: A Realm Reborn), Hajime Tabata (Co-Director on FFXV, Crisis Core, Type-0), Motomu Toriyama (FFXIII), and Yoshinori Kitase (FFVI, FFVII, FFVIII). It's interesting that they have brought in Kitase for this as many of the other directors are from the "current" generation of Final Fantasy titles but it's nice to see that they are at least trying to balance the team out a bit.

With that being said though, there are some notable directors missing though including Tetsuya Nomura (XV and Kingdom Hearts) and Hiroyuki Ito (FFXII) possibly because they're just busy with other projects.

Hopefully this committee proves to be in Square Enix's best interest for the brand's future. It's nice to see that they are making adjustments.
