In the build-up to E3 2016, Square Enix has FINALLY announced that the Final Fantasy XII HD Remaster is happening; it will be called Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age.

Developed exclusively for the PS4 and planned for release in 2017, The Zodiac Age will be a high-definition remaster of Final Fantasy XII: International Zodiac Job System. This will represent the first time this version of the game has been released out of Japan and it comes with quite a few enhancements against the original version.

On top of sheer content that comes bolstered with the International Zodiac Job System, details of The Zodiac Age have been revealed via the official site and a teaser trailer.

We know that it will include high-resolution upgrades for backgrounds, character models, and all 2D parts including fonts. FMVs will also be improved, Dual audio (English/Japanese) will be added and a remastered soundtrack will also be part of the package.

The game will also boast shorter loading times, an auto-save feature and an improved high speed mode.
