70% of Final Fantasy XV team working on post-launch content, other 30% moved to other BDs

Final Fantasy XV director, Hajime Tabata has revealed to DualShockers what's become of the Final Fantasy XV team following its release on November 29, 2016.

A massive 70% of the roughly 250 staff from the Final Fantasy XV team are still in Business Division 2, the Square Enix Japan studio behind the game working on post-launch content. This includes the DLC, free updates and VR. Would also assume it includes the eventual but currently unannounced PC version but that is just my speculation.

Tabata says the studio would like to support the game for as long as possible, and at the moment they have plans for a year of content.

The other 30% have moved to other Square Enix Business Divisions. Tabata did not specify which but it's likely he was referring to Business Division 1 led by Yoshinori Kitase who are working on Mobius Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy VII Remake and likely something else. Other likely divisions they went to include Business Division 3 who are developing Kingdom Hearts III and Business Division 5 who are incharge of Final Fantasy XIV and XI.
