Hajime Tabata, the director of Final Fantasy XV and head of Business Division 2 recently spoke to 4Gamer.net about the team's goals with the game right now.

First, Tabata revealed that sales for Final Fantasy XV are now up to "About 7 million."

4Gamer then asked if the team has any goals for Pocket Edition, Royal Edition and Windows Edition.

Tabata answered "Honestly, rather than sales numbers, the team’s priority is “to provide a good service for as long as possible that is worthy of its value.” That said, there’s been some talk within the team saying they’d like to reach 2 million with Final Fantasy XV: Windows Edition alone, and with the team’s main objective of 10 million [for Final Fantasy XV], you have different approaches during the pre-release.

As for Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition, its role is to further spread the word of Final Fantasy XV. While we do have an income and expenditure plan for it, we don’t have any goals as far as download numbers go."
