Square Enix has announced a brand new Final Fantasy XV novel that will tell the stories of the cancelled DLC episodes for the game: Episode Aranea, Episode Lunafreya and Episode Noctis.

The novel will be released in Japan on April 25, 2019 for 1,620 Yen.

It is written by Jun Eishima who previously wrote Final Fantasy XIII: Episode Zero - Promise, Final Fantasy XIII-2: Fragments Before and Final Fantasy XIII-2: Fragments After.

The original plan was conceived by the Final Fantasy XV development team.

They will also release a "Celebration Box" on the same day in Japan. In addition to the novel it will contain Final Fantasy XV: Episode Ardyn – Prologue on a Blu-ray disc (which is strange since it only goes for like 10 minutes), a 48 page art booklet, 4 post cards and a coaster.

Square Enix has also confirmed a release outside of Japan for the novel is planned and that they will share more information at a later date.
